Strength and Conditioning Support
We're Introducing New and Improved Strength and Conditioning Programs/Services.
In an effort to serve you better, YMCA Calgary is introducing improved strength and conditioning programs/services. Starting April 1, 2016, you can take advantage of a free YMCA program and service orientation or meet with a strength and conditioning team member who will design a strength and conditioning program to help you meet your goals.
With this change, YMCA Calgary will be ending its partnership with Fitlinxx and transitioning to LF Connect (a digital app that connects with the technology on our Life Fitness cardio equipment). This means that Fitlinxx services on all cardio and strength machines as well as Fitlinxx kiosks and online accounts will be disabled by March 31, 2016.
The New Offerings
Program and Service Orientation
If you are new to strength training, the gym, or the YMCA, this orientation is for you. You will receive an orientation of the strength and conditioning floor (weight and cardio area) and learn more about our programs and services.
Basic Strength & Conditioning Program
You’ll learn proper technique when using the weight and cardio equipment and receive a strength and conditioning program to help you reach your goals.
LF Connect App Online Tracking Service
Get workouts, track your progress, link with other digital tracking devices and share with your friends or trainer. The LF Connect App connects directly to Life Connect cardio equipment to make it even easier to record your workouts. Download the app now on the Apple App Store or Google Play and ask a strength and conditioning team member help you get set up.

Get Results with Personal Training
Get an individualized training program, stay motivated and reach your goals. Choose from our 90-minute Getting Started program or 5, 10 or 20 60-minute sessions one-on-one or with a small group.
Getting Started (12y & Up)
This service is for those new to Personal Training and for clients looking to jump start their current workouts. You will be provided an individualized training program with a 30 minute consultation and two 60 minute personal training sessions.
- Member $125 Non-Member $175
Private Sessions (12Y and up)
Choose a package of 60 minute sessions that suits you. Your workouts will be crafted by a certified Personal Trainer to ensure maximum benefit.
- 5 sessions Member $300 Non-Member $405
- 10 sessions Member $570 Non-Member $750
- 20 sessions Member $1020 Non-Member $1380
Semi-Private Sessions (12Y & up)
For those who prefer working out with a family member or a friend. Keep each other motivated to stay on track and enjoy the benefits of additional cost savings.
