NEW Youth Hap Ki Do class 6:45-7:45pm on Fridays at Saddletowne YMCA

Due to the immense popularity of our Youth Hap Ki Do programs we have created an additional class on Fridays from 6:45-7:45pm for children aged 6-11 years. If your child missed out on the 5:30 class here is your second chance!

Are you looking for a creative way to spend your time? Are you interested in expressing yourself through art? Our youth arts and crafts programs provide you with opportunities to explore and discover your inner artist. We will use many different media and supplies to give opportunities to experience something new!

Active Y Kids Starting Soon!

Kids involved in Active Y Kids learn about making healthy choices.

Active Y Kids is a 12-week program, offered in all YMCA branches and at specific schools. It is comprised of three main components:

  • Physical Activity: Understanding how the body works, exercises, flexibility, muscles strength, relaxation techniques
  • Behavior Skills: Goal setting, positive self-talk, stress management, physical activity at home, the professionals who help us stay healthy
  • Nutrition: The Canada Food Guide, nutrients, hydration, sugars, reading food labels, portion size, number of servings, healthy breakfast, healthy bones, calcium.

The program has begun at YMCA branches and will be starting at the end of September in schools!
